Colorado Springs- Transportation to Keystone, CO

Has anyone looked into transportation to Keystone on Friday?  My family is coming to Brekenridge on Sunday so I hate to drive up on Friday and have to drive home on Sunday.  I have sent a request to Ramblin Express to see if they have a bus (shuttle to Keystone, CO)  and what the cost would be.  Anyone interested I would be happy to share the information I gather.

I live in Elbert, CO and I will be driving up on Saturday morning (early) if you would like to ride then. Reply and maybe we can communicate. Vickie
Vickie, That would be great, but how early are we talking? If it is a matter of funds, I could spring for a room on Friday night, payment for your driving and we would both arrive early and fresh. Would you consider that? Let me know or give me a call and we could discuss, if you are open to that suggestion.

Oh, most importantly, good luck on your training. We are down to the last "leg" of it. I still have not done more than 13 miles in one day, I am sure I can but the timing and weather hasn't been good. Too many things going on...I am still trying to get the last $300 + dollars raised. I will make up the difference but would be nice to have it all taken care of before the end of May. I look forward to hearing form you. Peggy, 719 685 9317 (home) 531 7527 (work).
Hi Peggy, I'm driving from the Falcon/Springs area on FRIDAY, but need a place to stay just for that evening. Would you consider sharing a room in Keystone and the cost? I'm hoping there are rooms left to reserve. Thanks, Karen

Above is a link from Colorado Springs to Keystone, not using I-25.

Karen,

Thank you for replying. Vickie Averett and I have been talking back and forth, Vickie lives in Elbert. I have booked a room in Keystone and would be happy to share with you. Maybe the three of us could meet and talk logistics, Vickie could be dropped off at you home in Falcon, you could pick me up in Manitou and the three of us (the lion, tin man and scare crow) could travel this road together. We could ask for a roll away or just sleep in our sleeping bags and share the room for Friday night. Of course Vickie and I would chip in gas money.

My family is meeting me in Breckenridge on Sunday, Vickie's family is meeting her on Saturday and it sounds like you are driving up on Friday. Let me know your thoughts and we look forward to hearing from you. Peggy (home) 685-9317 and (work) 531-7527.
Hi Peggy,

Thank you! I would be happy sleeping on my air mattress and sharing the cost of the room.

If Vickie could be driven to my home (just off Woodmen) that would work out well. Then we would pick you up in Manitou. Driving either I-25 or taking Hwy 24 is fine with me. It looks like you and Vickie will only need a ride one way. I drive a Toyota Sienna (minivan) so there will be enough room for our things and us to fit comfortably.

I care for my 2 year old grandson most weekdays. But if it's possible, it would be fun to meet you both before we travel on that "yellow brick road". This is my first Avon walk. If you both have walked before, you probably have valuable tips you can share.

You can call me anytime at home. 495-3685 Thanks, Karen
No we have not walked either but Vickie has been researching and asking questions and is a "walking" encylopedia of information. Would be nice to meet, the three of use, before hand. Lets figure out what will work for all three of us. I am so exited... can't wait to meet you both and walk. I will give you a call over the weekend. Peggy
HI Peggy,
I just left you a message on your phone about us meeting this afternoon 5:00pm at your restaurant. I'm still planning to do that. I need to get ahold of Vickie, but I don't have (or misplaced) her phone #. Give me a call if you get this message.
Thanks,
Karen
