We would love to have you join our Solo Strutters USA team.  Our team welcomes everyone, solos, or not.

The team was born in Boston to give a walk family to those brave souls who registered without a walk partner.  However, we found there were others who liked our goals and asked if they could join, too, because they wanted a walk family. So, now we are in all 9 walk cities.

Our goal is to ensure that every walker loves the walk so much they can't wait to do it again and again, until we find a cure. We are a mixture of first timers and veterans, so there is lots of good information and help on our private Yahoo group which is open to members of our teams only.

Every year our teams are amazing. They really came together as a family, they watch out for each other, help each other, do training walks together in groups based on geographical locations (although to be honest, this is not our strongest suit), give each other support and ideas for fundraising.  Collectively, we have raised over $2.5 million since 2006.

We also encourage those who have reached their fundraising goals to share their additional funds with team members who need some help to reach their minimums.  This is, by no means, required.

We had (and will have again) an Event Eve lunch (this is entirely optional).  We help with tent mates and we also let everyone know who has room in a hotel room to share the evening before the walk.  Most importantly, we all had people with whom to walk and share this amazing experience .

We have set up a Yahoo group just for Solo Strutters across the USA. Here we share fundraising ideas, training help, walk day advice, etc.  A lot of us are also on Facebook and we would be thrilled to "friend" you.

Joining a team does not negatively impact you in any way.

We have no stupid rules, just Avon rules, so we don't infringe on you at all.  We just want to gather you into our family and share this great experience with you.

If you are interested in joining us you can contact me at jcherry@hotmail.com

Hugs,

Judy

Hi Judy,

I would like to join the Solo Strutters Rocky Mountain 2011 Team.
How do I do that?
Is there a costume for this group?

Lemme know, we've only got a few days left!

Also looking to share a place to stay Friday night!!

Suzanne

HI Suzanne

I'll have you added to the team and, if you send me an e-mail to jcherry@hotmail.com I'll send you the plans for the weekend and a couple of names that might still be looking to share on Friday night.

Hugs,

judy

I just got a condo and would like to share it with 2-4 people. It has 3 Q beds and is $150 all-inclusive, right at the Opening Ceremony area.

Here's the place: http://www.vrbo.com/266070

Let me know, OK?

I'd like to have some others to walk with in the Rocky Mountains.  I do not know anyone but this is not my first walk.  Last walk was when it was in Denver.  I have endurance and determination but am not a fast walker.  I also still need donations if anyone wants to share.  My email is cndster@yahoo.com.

Thanks,

Cindy Setser

Cindy,

I'll be at Event Eve at the walker vendor area.  Feel free to stop by.  Our team is really small this year, but I'm sure some of our people will be glad to welcome you.

Hugs,

Judy

I should be arriving early evening. I am leaving Steamboat 2:30-3:00.
I'll find you!

Judy, I can't seem to find the document you sent me even though I received it.  ???  If you could re-send it that would be great, otherwise I'll just call you and ask where you are meeting for dinner and in the morning.

Thanks,

Suzanne
