FUNDRAISING

I am really looking forward to the 2012 breast cancer walk. I need suggestions on the 1,800 donation we have to raise.

Any SUGGESTIONS

Hi Crystal,

This is my first year too. My best suggestion is to read this forum, there are so many ideas. A couple of my favorite are the Coach purse raffle and the Facebook Auctions. Everyone on here is very helpful with their ideas. Good luck!

Crystal, I have tried several things to raise the $1800. The first year I just asked for donations and raised over $2100. Last year, I sold t-shirts (hated it) and asked for donations. I raised over $2100. This year, I held a 4 mile walk between two neighboring communities with the one raising the most money receiving a travel trophy. Again, I raised over $2100. The walk was by far the easiest because I did the entire thing in about 3 weeks. I held it in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and knew I had raised enough money at the end of the day. The other times I was on pins and needles until a week or so before the walk. I will do the walk again next year. If you would like, I can send you a copy of my flyer and registration. However, you raise the money, you will find that all the work is well worth the effort. Outside of my church and family, this walk is the best thing I have ever participated in.
