My team just did a fundraiser last weekend called Martini & Massage and it was very successful! We found a martini bar and then had several massage therapists come in with their chairs. Tickets were $15 and you got a pink martini and a 10-minute chair massage. We also had a raffle and sold pins and magnets. We raised almost $1900 in 4 hours and the owner of the bar definitely wants us to come back and do it again!

Hi Michelle - I am trying to do a similar event in Colorado next month. I was wondering if you could show me what you used for tickets? Thanks!

Hey Michelle,
awesome idea!
how many massage therapists did you have there? and what was the arrangement with the bar?
was it everyone who came through the door got the drink and massage or only those who came in with a flyer?
i'm just trying to figure out the logistics of the thing.
i'm asking around in LA , and most bars want a big cut for themselves.
did the bar make anything off the fundraiser?
thanks!!
Tana
hi michelle,
can you send me a pic of how your ticket looked like?

Hi Michelle
I'm interested in approaching a local Martini Bar here in my home town and would like to get more information from you on the particulars....ie cost for using the bar, is the $15 the total profit for each martini....etc. in hosting your event. I've gone back and forth with this idea for a while now and I've decided to just take the leap and see what happens!!!! I'd really appreciate any input you may have. Thanks for your time!!! You can reach me at tmgood1@yahoo.com.

omg i loove this idea and does not seem like it is too hard to do either as long as you get the massage therapists in. Thank you for the idea!! I might try to make this work in the winter here in nyc/nj. if anyone else does this and has any more pointers please share!!

July 17th i am hosting a scavenger hunt in a nearby town filled with bars. We are are charging $20 a person and will be able to donate the full amount! I am really excited to see how successful it is. I like seeing new ideas rather than 3 hour open bar happy hours...
How did your scavenger hunt go? I am thinking about doing something like this, how did you put this together? can you give me your ideas?

Had our 2nd annual Martini & Massage fundraiser last weekend and it was another success! We raised a little less (only $1500), but not too bad considering all things with our current economy. We only had three massage therapists this time and it still worked out (had one cancel because of an emergency), so we told people they could get two martini's for $15 if they wanted too and marked their tickets accordingly.

Some people were asking if we did this every Sunday.  LOL  Of course, I said "no" but we are considering doing it again maybe in March or April at a different location. If anyone is interested in a template for flyers/tickets, just send an email to Michey14@yahoo.com with Pink Martini in the subject line and your email address in the body.

Happy Fundraising!
