Joyce, I am training for the Rocky Mtn. walk in June too. I am in Manitou Springs, just outside Colorado Springs. I do not know where you are but so far it has just been me and my dog walking. If you are in the area I would love to have a walking, talking... someone to train with. Peggy

Joyce I take off from my house and walk Garden of the Gods but we can meet somewhere in the middle. I always have safety in mind but being out of traffice is important too. I am leading a walk next week 3/6/10 from the Garden of the Gods Trading Post to downtown Manitou Springs, the Cog and back to the Trading Post.
Is there a time that you like to walk, I like starting the day out on the weekends because I walk almost everynight, 3 miles in the dark. So, depending schedules would you like to meet downtown? We could walk from, say the library at Cascade north to Penrose Hospital and back. That is probably a 2 to 3 mile walk. We could meet on Saturday, tomorrow morning if you are up for it. My home number is 685-9317. My daughter has been interviewed for the YouthCrew and will know by Wednesday. I am excited to have her volunteer too.
Anyway would life to walk with you. Peggy

Peggy the libary is a great starting place. I left you a messase. I just want to make sure of the date we starting on is March 6th does that work out better for you. I am available anytime. I am a recent survivor and am looking forward to venturing out further then I have been going

Congratulations ! I would love to hear your story, you are an inspiration to us all...We can walk from the library to Penrose Hospital and back any evening or this weekend. As part of the AVON walk I am leading a walk on 3/6/10 from the Garden of the Gods to the Cog Railway and back.
I thought you might be more comfortable meeting and walking at a convient location the first time. The weather tomorrow maybe too cold but I will check my message tonight and give you a call.
