I need some encouragement. This is my fourth walk, but I am not getting in the miles that I think I should. I live in SE Oklahoma, and, for the first time in four years, we are having a rainy March. (I am grateful for the rain.) Last week I walked 14 miles one day; that has been my longest walk. If I can walk 14 miles, I can walk 26, right? This past weekend was the 2nd Annual Lumberjax/Bulldog Pink Walk. We had two teams from neighboring communities compete for the most walkers. We raised $1922! (It is friendly competition.) We each walked about 4 miles, met, had lunch, and a great time. Cost was $25 per adults and $15 per student. We had about 100 walkers. If anyone would like more information, let me know (bprice@wcisd.org) and I will send you a flyer and registration form.
