From a former med crew member, please remember to hydrate and use the gatoraide not just water. That is very warm for a long walk.

I'm not too pleased with the potential of the heat being that high. My body doesn't do well in those kinds of temps for prolonged periods. Just means I may not get to do the full route possibly. We'll see though. I'm still…

Hi Patricia, glad to meet you. This is my first time participating in the Avon walk. I will be staying in the village on Saturday night. Any tips for camping out? Should I bring a blanket along with my sleeping bag? Does anyone need a tent mate?

Also, I am walking in Washington, DC and live in Takoma Park. Could I get a ride to the event on Saturday morning?

My daughter and I walked DC last May as our first walk. What an experience on so many levels. Last month we crewed in Charlotte. We will see you in DC this year! Breath it in, Girl!!!! I's awsome!!!!
