My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2009. From that moment, I wanted to do whatever I could to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. So here I am again, almost a year later and I this walk is going to be my second Avon Breast Cancer Walk. Last year some of you might know that I did the walk in Chicago. I have to say that this was the most touching, inspirational, and challenging walk.

When I thought about giving up and taking a shuttle to the next rest station, I thought about my mom and everyone battling this disease. If they could do it, then what is walking 39 miles? There was a saying on the route last year that has really stuck in my mind. The saying was "Blister's don't need Chemo."

I had the best team members last year and I wish that I could walk with them again. We all helped each other through it all and there was never a dull moment during the 2 days.

My mom is a strong women and will conquer this speed bump in her life. She needs support from not only me, but everyone that has come in contact with her in some way or another. She means the world to me and I want her to know that I am her biggest supporter. I dedicate this walk to my mother, my family, my friends, the survivors and those who have passed from breast cancer.
