Don't be nervous. Just know that if you do get sore or tired on Saturday and haven't gotten alot of long walks in that know when to stop. They have vans that will shuttle you. If you get blisters get them treated. Alot (actually over half) of the walkers will walk just the 13.1 on Saturday so that they are able to walk another 13.1 on Sunday. Especially first time walkers. The worst thing is to push it too much on Saturday to not be able to walk on Sunday. You DEFINITELY want to walk to closing ceremonies on Sunday. Don't forget the tissues....they are critical. If you have ANY other questions or wonderings about the walk don't hesitate to write. I will answer any questions as a "veteran" that I can. Are you sleeping in tents at Wellness Village?

Thanks Rhonda....the baby is my grandaughter Grace held by her mom my daughter Sarah. Notice her cute onsie? My mom passed away in 1990 from brain cancer and my sister is a 2 time Breast Cancer Survivior. I have 6 sisters and 1 brother. We started our team "Wind Beneath Our Wings" in honor of our Mom who is the Wind Beneath Our Wings. 5 of us will be in New York along with a Niece and a Nephew. 5 of us are walking and 2 are Crewing. This is my 9th walk. We do Boston and New York each year with some crewing one and walking the other. I walk both. Maybe we will meet in New York you never can tell.
