Changed from NYC to Charlotte for Avon Walk this year. Will head down tomorrow from Arlington, VA. Hope Hurricane Sandy doesn't swamp us!Met fundraising goal of $2,500 thanks to many generous friends and family members. I'm a first-time walker in the Washington, D.C. Avon Walk and realized that it might be nice to offer our guest room (queen hide-a-bed) up for one or two people who are coming from outside this area. It's cheaper than the hotel (no charge) and may be more comfortable than tenting. We're located in Shirlington off of I-395 and it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the JW Marriott or Washington Monument from our location.
