I really only did one distance day a week on the weekends (that was usually on early Sunday mornings). My hope is that we all try to get a few group walks in where it fits everyones schedule and that can be the weekends you are off.
Were planning a get-together kick off party really soon... Two of the other team members are in the middle of moving this week. So once they are both done with that insanity, we want to have a team get-together to so everyone can meet, discuss training schedules and fundraising events we have in the works.
Some things were planning include a purse party, bunko party, poker tournament, fundraising party at Sports Basement in Walnut Creek, garage sales, car wash, etc.
We are fortunate in that one of the team husbands is helping set up some of these activities and scouting out a few more!
I'm excited! Leslie Anne from this message board has also contacted me and wants to join the team too! You first time walkers are in for quite an emotional ride!
I will give you a call and We can plan to meet up for a short walk at Contra Loma maybe next week after work? One lap is about 2.5 miles. I have your number, So I'll call you.
